from vision
to transition

The first edition of this event organized by CGECI and its technical partner AETS will have the theme:
“Structuring & Acceleration of Green Financing and Investment Mechanisms.”
Designed as a real catalyst, this seminar of workshops and conferences bringing together major players in the economic landscape of the sub-region as well as international players involved in the climate transition will address all the questions we must ask ourselves to support a transition to a responsible economy in Ivory Coast.

We firmly believe that this transformation requires in-depth knowledge sharing, judicious mobilization of available assets and creation of a dynamic hub. These three levers play an essential role in overturning the current status quo, combating the causes of the climate crisis in Africa and optimally exploiting the opportunities linked to this paradigm shift.
We look forward to welcoming thought leaders, innovators, investors and experts from the public and private sector to exchange innovative ideas, explore new investment opportunities and chart a promising path towards a green and sustainable economy.

our 3 pillars

knowledge

CAP Green intends to position the sub-region as a center of excellence in the green economy aimed at the production and dissemination of knowledge, as well as the development of skills and tools with a view to the country's green transition.
The CAP Green Knowledge Center will be available, among other things, through the following initiatives:
  • A center of expertise on climate and the environment
  • An annual expert report on the implications of climate change in Ivory Coast for the private sector
  • Scientific content presented during the conference and broadcast afterwards
  • Partnerships (MoU) with academic, technical institutions, etc.
  • Other content and activities that will constitute a real toolbox

ASSETS

Through the various instruments and assets, the idea of this initiative is to contribute to the financing of green projects and the conclusion of partnerships with green investors. CAP GREEN therefore functions as a hub, which identifies, structures and accelerates the financial closing of structuring green projects in Ivory Coast.
The Hub will also enable innovative climate financing through breakthroughs such as:
  • Carrying out transactions linked to carbon credits in Ivory Coast
  • A portfolio of investments for adaptation and mitigation of climate change
  • A green entrepreneurship initiative
  • A facility to accelerate the preparation of green projects

HUB

Creating a platform within the framework of CAP GREEN responds to an imperative: to bring environmental issues to the table of strategic discussions among managers and leaders of the Ivorian private and public sector, development partners and donors.
This lever will be implemented through the following instruments:
  • An annual CAP Green conference
  • A green economy secretariat
  • A roadshow of the CAP Green initiative
  • CAP Green member affiliation
  • A strategy on specific programs and projects to be carried out in Ivory Coast
  • Post-conference monitoring of the structuring and implementation of member projects via effective CAP Green monitoring workshops
